Today, D was in some need of some goodness and requested some jalapeno chips of a particular brand from Smiths. I got in the car, went to Smiths, but alas, no jalapeno chips. Due to road construction, I took a longer drive to Albertson's, but alas, no jalapeno chips. Feeling like I really wanted to bring home these dang chips for my husband whom I love, I jumped on the freeway, got off one exit later, and headed into Walmart to look for the chips. Success! When I got to the register and asked the cashier how their day had been, they responded and asked me how I was doing. I responded, "Great-" and before I could finish the cashier said, "Because you look good." Well, I am sure the friendly cashier probably tells everyone that, but I have to say, it made me feel good nonetheless.
I have decided that from now on, when I ask someone how they're doing, I will then say, "because you look good." Hopefully their day will be that much better. Though, of course, it would be worse if I said that and the person was insanely ill, lying on their death bed, or smelled really terrible- no reason to lie about it since that usually only makes things worse..or awkward.

3 love notes:
You do look good. And I think that is a great day maker. No, I am not going to the UDA thing. I am not presenting until April 19 is....
lol. that is great. what a good wifey. i'm forever on a quest for stacy's cinnamon and sugar pita chips. i can only find them at whole foods, 40 minutes away :(. two bags didn't last long ....
p.s. you always look good. i wonder what she would have said if i were the customer in my usual sweats with sweaty hair and no makeup. who has time for primping these days anyway?
You are absolutely fantastic and hilarious. I looooove kettle chips--not jalepeno...actually you should try the salt and pepper ones--they're to DIE for. Thanks for the compliment on my blog!
